Helen Lamb Brooks
Helen Lamb Brooks, formerly of Malone, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Schenectady, New York.
She was born February 25, 1922 in Franklin Centre, Quebec, the daughter of Edwin and Madge Greenway Lamb. She married Merle A. Brooks September 29, 1952 at Valleyfield, Quebec. He predeceased her January 25, 2003.
Mrs. Brooks was a legal secretary for the Cantwell and Cantwell Law Firm in Malone for many years. She was a member of the Bangor Grange and a 4H leader.
She is survived by a son, Kevin Brooks of La Paz, Mexico; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Beverley (Richard) Besler of Utica, Elaine (John) Rinaldo of East Greenbush, and Heather Brooks of Hoosick Falls. Also surviving are grandchildren, Steven Besler (Mary Beth), Kevin Besler (Katie), Kristen Besler, Robert Rinaldo, Dylan Brooks (Shannon), and Pamela Brooks; and great-grandchildren Benjamin and Joanna Besler.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Heritage Home for Women in Schenectady, for the outstanding care our mother received while a resident there.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Spaulding Funeral Home Monday morning, September 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in North Bangor Cemetery.
